Established in 1982, the Centre was founded in association with the UAE Ministry of Social Affairs.

Based on the latest available information, the center accommodates 170 patients on-site. These patients receive daily visits from doctors who address any health-related, mental, social, or psychological issues they may have. In addition, a mobile unit system established in 2008 offers home visits by a team of specialists, comprising a social worker, a doctor, a nurse, and a physiotherapist.

Among the 170 patients, there are four individuals - one female and four males - who do not have families and are therefore hosted by the center. Apart from providing healthcare services, the center also ensures that the elderly patients are engaged with the community. The center organizes weekly trips to different locations such as parks, museums, and events for the elderly patients.
