Home For Aged & Handicapped

The “Home for the Aged and Handicapped” formerly known as the “POOR HOUSE” is situated in Untkhana Nagpur. A land given By FATESINGHRAO RAJE BHONSALE to the Catholic Mission.
In the year 1890, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation approached the Bishop of Nagpur, Monsignor Riccaz to take care of the abandoned lepers, the crippled. Other institutions declined the request of the Corporation, but Bishop Riccaz took up the responsibility willingly and joyfully. He entrusted this work of Mercy to Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate.
